Collected by our bees permanently living on the Ionian coast of Basilicata, an Italian region.

This honey crystallizes very fast, generating a quite compact and crystallized mass, with fine and medium crystals. The colour varies from amber in the liquid form, to a lighter or darker beige when crystallized.

Odour test
Scent of average intensity, recalling licorice, dried mushrooms and smoked food. Someone finds it reminds of stock or toffees. and toffies. Sometimes not particularly fine, but always very typical.

Taste test
It is never nauseating thanks to its mild sweetness. It has a very rich and complex taste, much finer in the mouth than it is in the nose; it recalls toffee candies and licorice. Well persistent in the mouth.

Eucalyptus honey is particularly recommended in all cases of breathing system diseases, and especially in case of colds and bronchitis. Anti-asthmatic, anti-mucus, antispasmodic, soothing and calming in case of bad coughs. It is a good antiseptic for the lungs and for the breathing and urinary systems.

Honey availability is not assured every year and/or all the year round due to the natural variability of its production. Beware of those who offer honey every year for twelve months. We are not an industry, we are farmers and we are tightly connected to Mother Nature and its seasons.
